David J. O'Reilly (born January 1947 in Dublin, Ireland) is the chairman and CEO
of Chevron Corporation. He graduated from University College, Dublin in 1968 with
a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and went to work with Chevron Research
Co. that same year. On January 1, 2000, he was elected chairman and CEO
of Chevron Corporation. In March 2007 Chevron considered separating his two responsibilities
of President and of CEO. According to CNBC.com, discussion arose
because of a mandated disclosure of his compensation package, about $13 million,
largely incentive pay. Chevron had shown record profits for the years 2005, 2006,
and 2007. |
